Activating your service
Your Bahamas mobile phone number is located at the top of your welcome letter containing the Bahamas SIM card and begins +43 650. It is also located in the upper right hand corner of your Twist Bahamas SIM card packaging above the bar code and under the text "ihre Ruhnummer".
- Travel to Bahamas.
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
- Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
- Turn your phone on.
- Enter the PIN code^.
- Start calling.
* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.
^ Your phone will prompt you for a 4 digit PIN code, which is located under the first tab of the welcome letter affixed to the SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock your cell phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your Bahamas SIM card if this occurs.
Making and receiving calls
How to make a call
To make an international call from your Bahamas mobile phone dial the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.
How family and friends call you
Family and friends need to dial the international prefix then the country code 242 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 242 and then your mobile phone number.
Recharging your account
To add credit to your Bahamas SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers. You will find these vouchers at most local tobacco shop, convenience store, petrol station or newspaper stand in Bahamas.
To recharge your account:
- Purchase a recharge voucher.
- Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code.
- Enter your voucher code.
Do not purchase another Bahamas SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!

Service life
Every time you recharge your account, the validity of your SIM card will be extended. The validity period will be determined by the amount that is purchased:

f you do not recharge your account within 15 months, your SIM card and phone number will be recycled and any remaining credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.
